Aloha Hector, Carlos, and everyone else at Shakatime,
Well, we did it. We danced with HAPA, in our incredibly beautiful dresses and leis purchased from Shakatime.
The dresses are even more lovely than we had expected, EVERY woman looked good! We cut the Pikake lei to make a short lei and wristlet. They were gorgeous with the dresses. Our class (18 students and our teacher/director for a total of 19) danced to Ku’u Home O Kahalu’u. The hui Director, Andrea Luchese, danced a solo with HAPA to Lei Pikake, and wore the red dress we ordered with the leis. This was a thrill for our class and we felt up to the challenge because we knew we looked so incredible in our new dresses!
We appreciate so much your wonderful friendly service and look forward to ordering more of the same dress. Our next order should happen very soon. We are now planning our Spring Ho’ike, May 21, and we have several more women who will need the dress to perform.
I’ve attached some photos. The ones in the park are from our dress rehearsal. It was 38 degrees drizzling rain on us. In IMG#7965, I’m front row, third from the right. If you have a facebook account, you can see our hui page, Ka Pi’o O Ke Anuenue, and look at video of the performance.
Do you remember the last order I made for just one dress to be sent, but then ended up having to cancel because it wouldn’t arrive in time? It was under the name Constance Griggs. She contacted me today to say that the charge went through on her credit card yesterday. Will we see a credit for that in the next day or two? Please let me know if there is any other information you need to look into the transaction.
Mahalo nui loa a hui hou,
