Memorial Day Events in Hawaii:

73rd Annual Mayor’s Memorial Day Ceremony: Held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl in Honolulu. The ceremony begins at 8:30 AM and features a color guard, wreath presentations, a firearm salute, and performances by the Sounds of Aloha Chorus (Go Visit Hawaii).

Shinnyo Lantern Floating Ceremony: Taking place at Ala Moana Beach Park from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This beautiful event sees thousands of lanterns set afloat in remembrance of those who have passed (Shinnyo Lantern Floating Hawai‘i).

Governor’s Memorial Day Ceremony: Held at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe at 1 PM (Department of Defense).
